Fear Holds You Back in Life

These aren't as scary as you think they are, but our minds believe it is.

Too often we face with difficulty. Things that challenge us. Things that scare the hell out of us.

It's not uncommon to go into fight or flight mode when presented with these things.

This is what fear does - our psyche believes that it will threaten our survival.

Sometimes it might. If your fear is falling off a plane with no parachute, then of course there would be a threat.

Yet, many fears we have don't often come with the threat of survival. Our primitive minds don't recognize the difference.

These fears, as I'd like to call them in this context, "obstacles", are things that get in our way.

When your faced with an obstacle in your life, what do you do? Do you push it off for another day? Ignore it? Complain about it? Cower over it?

There will likely be some sort of reaction to it. Too many people don't want to face the reality of their problems, so there is a negative response.

The way people love to deal with these problems aren't to face it, period. They look for something that will comfort them. Something to numb the pain.

But once again, these same fears hold us back every day!

What's the solution to dealing with these fears? Is it... to face them head on?
